1. Information We Collect
We request access to your browser's geolocation to determine your city. We use this exact GPS position temporarily and exclusively for reverse geocoding — converting coordinates to your city name and city center coordinates.
The ONLY data we store is: city name, country, and the city center coordinates (latitude/longitude of the city itself, NOT your specific location).
2. What We DO NOT Collect
- Exact GPS coordinates
- IP addresses
- Email addresses or names
- Device information or user agents
- Tracking cookies or browsing history
- Any other personal data
3. How Your Data Is Used
The stored city data is displayed on an interactive world map showing where visitors are from. This is purely for visual purposes — each city shows as a location on the map with a count of visitors from that city. No individual tracking is performed.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties. All data remains in our Cloudflare D1 database and is used exclusively for the map visualization on this website.
5. Your Rights
The data we store — city name, country, and city center coordinates — is anonymous and does not constitute personal data under the GDPR (Article 4(1)), as it cannot be linked to any identified or identifiable individual. Since we store no identifiers (no IP addresses, device info, or session data), we are unable to verify who submitted any given entry.
6. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We implement rate limiting to prevent abuse, and access to deletion endpoints requires authentication. We never expose exact GPS coordinates to any server-side process — reverse geocoding happens entirely on your device.
7. GDPR Compliance
This website complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We only collect data after obtaining your explicit consent via the consent banner. Since the stored data is anonymous and contains no identifiers, it cannot be linked back to you individually. As a result, consent cannot be retroactively withdrawn for a specific submission — there is simply no way to trace it back. You are free to decline or dismiss the consent banner at any time to prevent future submissions.
